Our full programme over Troop nights and weekends aims to develop Scouting Skills, Beliefs and Fitness, along with Creative, Community and Global interests. This is done with a range of activities including local and District Camps, Parades, Hikes, Canoeing, Orienteering and Mountain Bike Exercises, Football and Raft Race competitions. This summer we have a week long camp in Scotland planned.
We really value the support that parents provide with administration and specific activities such as back-woods survival and sports coaching. We also have several older teenagers working with the troop as Young Leaders. These enable us to run more complex and demanding events and ensure that the Scouts are developing the skills they need. As Beavers and Cubs continue to progress well through into Scouts we are running at capacity. It is great to be able to promote our Scouts up to the Explorer Units in Bardsey, Wetherby and Tadcaster. There is always room for fresh ideas and support, so do get in touch.
